Overnight Lodging
If you're like most people, you'll want to make the journey from home to Ely the day BEFORE your canoe trip begins. Upon arriving at our outfitting base, ideally in the afternoon, we'll provide a comprehensive orientation covering all of your outfitting gear and food provisions; we’ll demonstrate canoe paddling and portaging techniques; and we’ll go over your trip plans, map work, and final preparations.
Then we’ll show you to your deluxe private overnight lodging quarters, featuring single, double, or queen beds with fresh linens, pillows, and fleece sleeping bags. Our lodging venues have all the comforts of home, because they ARE homes! One with features such as air conditioning, wi-fi, and smart TVs; another with country charm in a woodland setting, but all with kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms just like your home! There's furniture for relaxing; tables for map study, game playing, etc.; and plenty of open space for organizing your personal gear and preparing for your canoe trip. Dinner is available in Ely, where you'll find numerous restaurants from which to choose. Soon, you'll return to your room and settle in for a restful night’s sleep before your wilderness adventure begins the next morning.
We advise making your overnight lodging reservations with us early, as space is limited. In the event that our rooms are full for the date you require, we will gladly recommend lodging alternatives in the Ely area.
Way to Go's Overnight Lodging Rates:
Guests taking our All-Inclusive Outfitting Package: $28 per person/ Minimum $84 per party
All others: $35 per person/ Minimum $105 per party
Lodging rates are subject to 3% local lodging tax and 7.375% MN sales tax.

Continental Breakfast Buffet
By the time you're "up and at 'em" we'll have a quick and satisfying continental breakfast buffet spread out for you to enjoy. The buffet includes hot coffee, tea, juice, hot oatmeal, cold cereal with milk, baked goods, and fresh fruit.
For our overnight guests taking our All-Inclusive Outfitting package, the cost of our pre-trip continental breakfast buffet is included with your lodging. For all others, the breakfast buffet is $9.00 per person plus tax.
